Our Class Schedule for the Third Quarter of 2013.
Instead of having one large
adult auditorium class each Sunday morning, we have three small group adult
classes each Sunday morning.
Sunday classes at 9:00 a.m.
| "The Religion of Israel" is led by
Johnny Felker. In this class we will explore how knowledge of
Israel's faith helps us understand our own. We will use our study of the
religion of Israel to help us understand many NT texts that assume that
the reader knows about the spiritual life and practices of the ancient
Israelites. |
| "Vanity of Vanities" is a study of the book of
Ecclesiastes. It is led by Doug Driver and explores the wise man's
depiction of "life under the sun." You'll be surprised at how relevant
this ancient book is to today's world. |
| "The History of Christianity (Part I)" is led by
Mark Claypool. This class will overview the story of people's
attempts to serve God since the first century. It will focus on key people
and events in the history of the church and how that history impacts
the views of people today. |
Wednesday Classes at 7:00 p.m.
| "Portraits of Discipleship" is led by
Johnny Felker and is a study of the different metaphors used to describe
God's people individually and what they tell us about the life of a
Christian. |
| Children's Classes: We have excellent children's classes which are Bible centered, not
just "baby sitting" or "play time" sessions. Our
children's curriculum has just been updated to provide even better
instruction for the children. |
We hope you will visit us and participate in one of our
classes!
